This issue was raised on the pqa-dev-forum a few weeks back and helped to point out that Palm Computing, Inc. hadn't made widely available any guidelines for web clipping in regards to copyrights. The following paragraph should help clarify concerns with web clipping and copyrights: Retrieving content available on the web and redistributing that content without the express permission given by the content owner constitutes copyright infringement, whether or not you provide attribution and whether or not the software is distributed for free. You must first get the permission of the copyright owner, which may or may not be the website where the content is posted, to clip the content and provide it to Palm device users. Also, that website from which the content is being retrieved may only have a license to use such content without a right to further sublicense the content to other sites. Make sure you have all necessary rights to reproduce, modify, display or distribute any material subject to any third party copyrights or other intellectual property rights.
