Hi;
I am using it to great success. Only problem was on Win95 with Piping of
output. I just wrote a compile batch file and to run from a DOS window. I
have to keep things in sync by myself, but don't find it a hassle.
On NT I use it with no problems. Only bug outstanding that is annoying is
the inability to remove a file from a project without having to remove it
from the directory. Author knows about it and is looking for a fix. It would
also be nice to copy a UI element to allow a starting point when you have
multiple ones. Otherwise, I think it is great. I run the full registered
version and really love it. I am a unix hack from way back so command lines
don't bother me. The gui however makes life a joy. Great investment of $55.
I recommend it whole-heartedly.

Subject: VFDIDE, any comments.

Before I begin I became a member of this list 2 days ago, so if what
I'm about the ask has already been covered then please excuse me for
repeating old threads (I have yet to find the list archive).

I am just starting out in palm development and I am using GNU C, I am
thinking of using the VFDIDE software package. It looks quite cute and
puts a nice GUI on to the C dev system.

Has anyone on this list used such a setup, if so how do you find it
(or is there a 'better' front end to GNU C).

I am using an eval version of VFDIDE, I have found MANY minor bugs,
but as yet no show stoppers.

Comments welcomed (off list if preferred).

Paul Fletcher.
