Loading .PRC files programatically

Hi,

I need to be able to load .PRC files other than by using hotsync - for
example having received them via email or ftp.

I've experimented with just writing the .PRC data as a file, but this
doesn't seem to work (I didn;t really expect it to) - I guess I need to
register them somehow with the Palm OS.  Can anyone offer any suggestions
how this can be done?
