Measure Dynamic Heap usage

Hello:

I remembered having used some call in the past to measure the usage of
Dynamic Heap by my application.  We have an application which seems to be
running out of dynamic heap, and we would like to run some tests to detect
the usage information.

Could anyone recommend the best course of action for us.
