   Don't worry, Neil - that was the first book I bought when I wanted to 
get into Palm development (Glenn Bachmann's was the second) and have found 
it quite useful.
   And thanks, David, for the tip.  I'd been clicking on the right column 
of the 'List Items' row (where I would usually expect to click to add data) 
and the menu item wasn't becoming enabled - probably a minor bug. Anyway, 
thanks for showing me the workaround.  B^)
