Hard to tell without looking at code but the fact that it works when your
app is the current one may be a clue. Global (and static) variables are not
available when you receive either sysCmdAppLaunchAlarmTriggered or
sysCmdAppLaunchAlarmDisplayed _unless_ your app is already running. The
sample code in Datebook is a useful starting point.

Subject: Alarm problems

I am writing an app that is supposed to alarm at a time that will be
determined by the user. However, the alarm is only going off when my
application is the current one. If I am in another app, or in Applications,
my alarm will not go off. But if I look at the alarm table, my alarm will
have cleared. When I receive the sysCmdAppLaunchAlarmTriggered launch
command I play a system sound, and when I receive the
sysCmdAppLaunchAlarmDisplayed I put up a simple modal form using
FrmDoDialog. Can anyone help?
