Hey all,
In POSE (2.1d29), using a Palm OS 2.0 / Palm Pilot Professional
config, I get a crash whenever a Datebook alarm is displayed, and the
frontmost app is displaying a form with a resource ID of 2000.
I can see why this happens by looking at the source code--Datebook is doing:
FrmInitForm (2000) //2000 is the ID of the alarm display form
It does this because it then shows the form with FrmDoDialog within
the context of whatever app is running.
FrmInitForm crashes with an error, saying "form already loaded",
because the app currently running before the alarm is displayed is
open with an active form with ID 2000.
However, this doesn't happen on my real Palm V.
My question is, is this:
a) a known issue that has been fixed with the more recent devices
like the Palm V?
b) something that only happens in the emulator, not on the real
device (that doesn't really make sense to me, as it seems like it
SHOULD be crashing)
c) something else?
Also, if (a) then how and when was it fixed?
I can't test on a real old Palm device because all my pre-Palm V
units have broken, and I can't test in the emulator with OS 3.1
because I haven't gotten clearance from the NDA deal to get the new
ROMs (though I will try dumping the ROM from my Palm V after sending
this mail)...
