Subject: HandSpring - Visor Devices

Well, of course it is competing with the PalmPilot and PST1500 and
IBMWorkPad
but, more important, it is also adding to the longevity of PalmOS. The more
manufacturers there
are out there selling devices based on PAlmOS the better chance it has of
surviving against
Windows HeHe.

>If it is not related to 3Com, why is it discussed here?
Because this list is about PalmOS programming.

>Will the Palms be dropped and replaced by Visors?

Well, that depends. Now I like the idea of having a GPS
slotted into my handheld - I've been meaning to buy one
anyway and I'd rather be carrying one device. But then
I can't see most of my clients choosing a Visor because
our apps are EPOS based.....but, now that I think of it,
we are looking forward to the RF option and if thats a
plug-in, maybe they will....the point is, the market can
only be better (and more competitively priced) with
more companies selling PalmOS devices.
