Wireless retrieve of a web page without the user seeing it.

Hi,

Does any one know a way to retreive a web page without having to display it
to the user. I saw the example in the Palm OS Programmers Companion to fetch
and display URL using clipper, but I want the fetch, the URL without
displaying it, then process the response myself. 

Is there a way to send a wireless request without using clipper or have
clipper return the contents of the page ???

Any ideas ?
