Since, I am only using 2 wire, and data transmission is only
one-way, my real question was can the palm handle it with
these set of circumstances. I know it can handle 19.2K

Again, I was not too clear about what I was looking for. I was wanting
to look at some simple code (source) that showed how to access, setup
and use the serial port in this simple configuration.
