There are two patches on Metrowerks web site to install. Try that. The
debugger for the original release is buggy -- the patches are a bit better.

We just got CodeWarrior for Palm, MS Windows version
"3.1 Build 0135", which seems to be version 5.
We're using Windows 98.
The debugger is failing. First it failed when I tried to run
the demo MineHunt in POSE v. 2.1d29, and then it failed
when I tried to run the "CodeWarrior PalmOS Tutorial
for Windows". I followed the instructions in chapter 2 of
the tutorial, with one exception. I used POSE.
Here's the error message I get:
"Unknown Error Code: 0x0408"
After I click OK, I'm unable to debug, although the MemoPad
demo has been downloaded to POSE. It would not run, though.
All but one of the items in the Debug menu are disabled.
"View Memory As" is the one available exception.
What do I need to do to successfully run the debugger in
CW? By the way, the version of POSE that shipped with CW
won't even run (v. 2.0b3).
Do I need to install a patch to CW? I tried downloading
CW_Pro_5_1_Factory_Update.zip, but after expansion,
when I ran the update executable, I got an error message
that my version of CW was too old for this update! Is
there a different file that should be downloaded?
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
