Palm VII National Launch Monday, October 4th, 1999!
The Palm VII Wireless Connected Organizer will now be available in stores
nationwide. After 4 1/2 months of only being available in the New York
tri-state area, the immensely popular Palm VII Wireless Connected Organizer will
reach consumers from the east coast to the west coast. You, as a developer for
the Palm Computing Platform, will now have an even larger market for your Palm
web clipping and .prc applications. If you have been waiting to develop a
wireless web clipping application, wait no longer, go wireless with a web
clipping application or enhance your current application with wireless
functionality! Web clipping applications (also known as PQAs) are simple and
easy to develop using a subset of HTML and the web clipping application builder.
Existing .prcs can be enhanced with wireless capabilities using the INetLib API.
Learn all about developing web clipping applications from the Palm Development
Zone web at http://www.palm.com/devzone/palmvii. Then, follow the "Developers:
Click here" link at the bottom of http://www.palm.net/apps/index.html to upload
your web clipping applications onto the Palm.Net web and reach thousands of Palm
VII wireless users.

New price plans are available! The Basic and Expanded plans have the overage
fee reduced from 30 cents to 20 cents per kilobyte, yet still retain the $9.99
and $24.99 monthly fees for 50 Kb and 150 Kb respectively. A new plan, the
Volume plan, provides 300 Kb per month for $39.99, but, if you sign-up for the
Volume plan before January 4, 2000, a special promotional rate of 1000 Kb per
month for the same $39.99 will be given to you for a six month period, after
which the Kb rate will automatically return to 300 Kb per month. Overage fee
for the Volume plan is also a low 20 cents per Kb. An activation fee of $9.99
will be charged for each newly activated account in any of the three plans.
