Hi all,
Sorry for these stupid questions, but i'm just a newbie and maybe you can quickly help
me with
a question that i'm wondering for many days.
I'm confused about converting ULong formats to Ascii, in order to put it in a form.
Here my record structure:
typedef struct {
Long visitID;
Long prodID;
ULong price;
ULong quant;
UInt discount;
} ItemDBRecordType;
1. Can I use StrIToA to convert ULongs to text?
In case of yes, here its declaration: "CharPtr StrIToA (CharPtr s, Long i)"
Wich CharPtr contains the converted text? The returned text, or the referenced
pointer?
Why isn't this function void returned?
2. How to deal with the price stuff in the form, regarding the need of commas and
decimals places?
Do I have to put the comma after converting the ULong to text?
In order to save to the database, do I have to extract the comma before writing to the
DB?
If someone has any library or example to deal with this, I would be very gratefull!
Best Regards,
