So are you saying that
  void EvtGetPen (Sword *pScreenX, Sword *pScreenY, Boolean *pPenDown)
can be safely called from a compute routine deep inside an event loop?
The SDK reference doesn't say whether or not it dequeues the pen down.

What's the approved and safe method to make sure the pen is over my
applications window (and not some current or future PalmOS display area)?
