I can't answer the last question, but PalmPrint does not use or require
the IrCOMM code (and hence works on all Palms with IR, not just those
whose users have downloaded and installed IrComm). And PalmPrint out of
the box prints just fine to the HP 6P and to O'Neil printers (and many
others, of course), so your app can just send whatever it needs to
PalmPrint to pass on to the printer.
