  some compilers allow it.. althought it is not supported by gcc as 
  i know it.. i dont know about CW.. but if in doubt.. you can always
  make a block statement inside your code:


  int x;
  x = 10;
  {
    int y;
    y = x + 10;
  }

  is perfectly valid too.

  time to catch up on your C! :>
