The main thing I can think of is to make sure you're using debug ROMs. Remember
that debug ROMs are designed to report problems as soon as possible, so that you
know what's going on. As opposed to release ROMs sucked out of devices. Those
release ROMs are designed to make a best effort to continue past problems and
limp along as long as possible. It can be suprising how far past a problem
those ROMs get before things just mysteriously implode!
