Hello:

I am using Net.lib and PalmPrint together in an application. I use
Net.lib frequently. I use the DELAYED_SHUTDOWN mode, so as to not
incur the connection overhead each time the network connection is used.

Then, I use PalmPrint through its launch codes to print some information.
After I use PalmPrint, if I go into the Prefs:Network panel, I see the
connection is still on : the device is still "connected". But when I try
to open a socket again, it times out.

The platform is the Palm IIIx with Minstrel modem, and PalmPrint. Here is
what could be wrong:

1. There is something wrong with Net.Lib; I even do a
NetLibConnectionRefresh before opening the socket the second time around -
no luck. The Net.lib doesn't realize that the connection was broken off
by PalmPrint.

2. I need to do something special after I make the last call to PalmPrint,
to ask it to allow us to use the serial port again - still, the question
remains, how to refresh Net.Lib thereafter?

3. I must wait a long time after using PalmPrint before I can use Net.Lib
again...

Please let me know if you have any theories/ideas/tricks/suggestions...

Thanks much!
Samir
