problem in progress manager

hi pals
  i am having problems in using Progress Manager function calls.
Can anybody please tell me what is the exact sequence of using those
functions calls.and  where they are placed (eg eventloop etc)

if possible give me the code snippet .it will be helpful to me.thanx in
