In order to avoid exiting the app, don't exit the app.
That is, a normal EventLoop looks like:
do {
EvtGetEvent(&theEvent);
...
} while (theEvent.eType != appStopEvent);
change it to:
do {
EvtGetEvent(&theEvent);
...
} while (1);
