1) I'm having a problem getting CWR5 Patch2 to connect to Visual SourceSafe
6. from within the r5 ide I get a 'can't connect to database' error no
matter what I do... got the new plugin dll from the MW site, no
different. Anybody got similar prob's or an answer ? VSS6 is runnig on a
small workgroup server only, not a full network, and all works fine from
the VSS interface...
2) any way to turn on a column# or position# in addition to the line# in
the IDE ?
3) on the 'IDE how-to' thread of last week - I've been defining a seperate
filetype as text for an 'engineering reference file'. I then add a text
file to the project (ala the MW readme text files...) as my project
tracking / work notes file. The nice thing is that keeping my project
features & requirements punchlist in the project itself means that:
- my working notes, loose-ends, and 'pseudo-code' is kept as part of my
work file;
- its always availabe and the IDE tools such as 'go to', find, bookmarks
etc, are available;
- and the IDE helps me prototype/think out pseudo code while the syntax
coloring and syntax checking keeps me connected to my real code... but not
included in the build till I'm ready to manually cut and paste.
