Sakhr Company, based in Cairo, Egypt had released an Arabic Localization for Palm devices in Gitex Exhibition in Dubai. Sakhr localization includes Arabic keyboard, Arabic/Latin (dual) interface for built in applications, and Arabic Graffiti. Sakhr introduced new concepts in Arabic Graffiti due to the nature of Arabic language, which needs multiple strokes per character. Sakhr Graffiti allows writing Arabic characters in a very natural way. Two ways are available using a timer , or a marker. The waiting time is adjustable from Sakhr Panel. A punch of Islamic programs are available with Sakhr localization, Muezzin program which show the times and direction for Islamic Prays in any country, and alarm on them. Hijri Date converter allows the conversion between Hijri and Georgian dates. In the Launcher application, tap on the title, and you can switch between the time, day of week, date in Y2K format, and Hijri date. Sakhr also introduce Sakhr Pen, to show the concept of WYSWYG Graffiti, which is believed to have wide acceptance for both Arabic and English users. Sakhr promise to introduce a Script Graffiti by the end of the year, which is a real challenge, it may be available for English users too. The localization version of Sakhr is totally FREE.
