>Is a ctlEnterEvent issued for a tap in a gadget?
No. Prior to 3.5, gadgets did absolutely nothing on their own, and the
system basically ignored them other than allocating space for them in the
form structure. They were essentially a convenient place to store
coordinates and a 32-bit data value, that's it. Everything else is/was up
to your application to define what should happen, and when. Very very
basic prototype ui object.
The fact that they existed also did help UI layout, since in Constructor
you could see where your UI object was going to be.
Oh, one other very useful thing was that Gremlins could "see" gadgets, and
thus would send pen-taps their way. Otherwise you really wouldn't get that
object exercised by gremlins other than a very occasional random tap.
