I've had this happen on long gremlin runs. Of course, this makes the remainder of the
run pretty useless! To get around it, I protect the application itself and all its
databases when doing testing with gremlins. This prevents the launcher from deleting
it, although I think the preferences still get trashed. The OS call to do this is
DmDatabaseProtect. HTH.
