This is not strictly a developer's question but you might be really
helpful here.

I've had my first Palm IIIx for a few weeks now, but I might have to
replace it as the touch screen is a bit defective. But of course a
few weeks were long enough for me to upgrade the OS from 3.1 to 3.3,
install a few apps and load it with data.

Question is: which is the most efficient way to backup and restore
the whole lot of data and apps from my old Palm to the new one? For
the system apps I believe a HotSync might be good enough (same as
after a hard reset?), but what about all databases, apps, OS
upgrade?

I though maybe a mechanism/tool similar to the ROM dump used for
getting your ROM image for the POSE might exist for this purpose.
Any clues? Which tools must I use and what would be the sensible
procedure?

Thanks a lot,
