I am consistently getting this error "Line 462, Bad Category" when I open one of my forms. The form will display a list that will show categories in the MemoPad app. The error repeats until I open MemoPad, once. As soon as I do that, the error goes away forever or until I reinstall a fresh MemoPad DB. In my app, I have a routine that gets the current category specified in MemoPad preferences. Apparently, until MemoPad has been openend once, there is an invalid value for current category in MemoPad preferences. I know that the MemoPad DB does exist because I did some testing and if it does not exist, I get a different error. So the MemoPad DB exists but just has an invalid category, until it has been opened once. I have verified this on two Emulators on different PCs and on my Palm. My question is how do I check for this invalid category? What is the initial state of this current category, before MemoPad has been run for the first time?
