I'm having a problem getting the new auto-menu feature in Palm OS 3.5 to
work in my application. The problem occurs when I have a form which has
menus but no title. Tapping in the top of the form does not activate the
menus.
There was a similar problem with MenuHack on older versions of the OS. Some
forms - such as the note form in the built-in DateBook - have a title which
is created by the application drawing code. MenuHack couldn't tell there
was a title present, so it didn't activate the menus even though it looks
to a user like there is a title present.
The note form for DateBook (and others) seems to work OK with the new Palm
OS 3.5 auto-menu function. How can we get our applications to do the same
thing? Is there a way to tell the auto-menu code that it should invoke the
menus even though the title appears to be blank?
