I will agree that the analogy was flawed ... but in fact it
is entirely immaterial.
If Palm wants to sell the VII, they ought to be able to
answer the question "will it work for me where I live"
when a customer asks. If the answer from Palm is "I don't
know, go do some research and find out" do you really
think that encourages the potential customer to go ahead
with his purchase?
I would suggest that PALM find out this information, and
moreover that they distribute coverage information to their
resellers so that customers don't have to be told "go look
it up yourself". You may find that you actually sell more
units if you help the customer...
