I -was- called by Palm about the problem.  

I returned the call to voicemail -- nothing happened.  

Next time I called I got the person and was told the 
problem would be cleaned up, but still nothing happened.  

Next time I called & reminded them about the situation, 
I got access to the ROMs.  

It took one more call to get access to the OS sources.
