I have an application which uses a 320x320x2 offscreen window as a scratch area which is then copied to the screen for a scrolling view. Converting to 3.5/color (320x320x8) ran into an apparent 64K barrier for offscreen windows. Is this as inflexible as I suspect it is (i.e., 16-bit CPU page addressing limit)? This app certainly doesn't need 256 colors - just a handful. Would it be possible to make a 4-bit depth reference RGB values (instead of the 16-gray palette) without deviating too far from recommended practice? ...mike ------------------------------------------------------------------------ pocketAPRS - APRS for the Palm Connected Organizer Website: http://www.pocketaprs.com Application: ftp://ftp.tapr.org//aprssig/palmstuff/palmaprs/pcktaprs.zip Map Files: ftp://ftp.tapr.org//aprssig/palmstuff/palmmaps/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------
