I would second that (if we are talking about PalmSource99 Europe) -

Yes he did seem a bit less than polished but at least the content was
interesting
whereas the first keynote after the opening was very dull and the speaker
went
over much of what the first speaker had said.
The best keynote session to my mind was the one on 'The Competition' and the
booby
prize goes to the Handspring session - no product to show except a long view
at
one the speaker had in his pocket, no Springboards at all and the speaker
went off
on a highly technical tangent (remember this was a key note session not a
technical
one). Then to top it off we had a few words from the new VP in charge of
Europe. All
he did was drop names; 'Donna and I go back a long way' 'Geoff and I' etc. I
felt like
asking who the heck was Donna.... One the other hand I did fell sorry for
the main
speaker (the VP was noticebly quiet when the questions were asked), who I
believe
was from Tech Support, when a couple of delegates/journalist(?) asked some
probing
questions about the distribution problems in the US and 'how did they feel
about TRG as
a competitor'. There should have been someone else present to handle that
type of
question.
David Fedor's technical sessions were excellent and all in all though it was
an
excellent conference and well worth the time and money. I'm looking forward
to next
years.
Cheers..
