Yes they can. As I recall, you need to load the resource database
immediately prior to using the resource in order to have the "current
resource" switched to that of the shared library.

FWIW, there's a fairly comprehensive treatment of shared libraries in our
book Palm Programming, and Greg Winton had an excerpt of his shared library
chapter published in Dr. Dobbs Journal two issues ago.
