My client understands that this case would be beyond the official
specifications for the Palm device, and that there are no guarantees.

However: considering the number of Palms sold, and presuming a fair
distribution across states like Arizona and Texas, one would think the
described scenario would have happened _many_ times.  If no one in
palm-dev-forum has ever heard of a Palm dying from the heat of a closed
car on a sunny day, forgive me if I consider that to be useful
information.

Best case would be a response from someone at 3Com who can knows or can
check the repair statistics.
