I use them for my user interface classes but use templates to "simulate"
them with my database and record classes. The databases and records are
used during Find's so the globals required by real virtual functions are not
viable.

PS: I got the idea and examples of using templates to simulate virtuals from
Christopher Hunt's Teenee library. Specifically, his AbstractDataMgr class.
