IIRC the hidden attribute on databases is used to prevent databases from appearing in
the launcher even when their type is 'appl'. This is used to hide the Clipper
application on the Palm VII. Rather than hard code this exception, Palm chose to add
generic support for hidden databases. They also added support for making non 'appl'
databases visible in the launcher rather than hard code an exception for pqa's.
