I remember when I first got my palm personal 2 years ago the best game
around was Galax which had a persistant time-lock after 30 days and I
purchased the program. What can I say... it was a good game! I have found
that most quality shareware programs have persistant hidden data to limit
the capability or lock the program after some period of time. Someone is
just not going to spend the time to make a quality program for nothing.
Incentive (monetary or not) is necessary and unfortunatly no matter what
you may think the "if its free its me" gene is embedded deep in everyone.

PS. I will not put any hidden data in my program (if I ever decide to sell
it) but I will put a timed alert using the app preferences. I don't like
the idea of someone doing something tricky behind my back to something I
own either.
