I need to edit PRC files (for customization, among other things), and I
use a Mac. I had been using Norton Disk Editor, but an upgrade to a new
G4/MacOS 8.6/HFS+ (most particularly the last of those things) means NDE
doesn't work any more. I just got an upgrade to Norton Utilities 5.0 to
solve the problem and discovered that NDE isn't even part of NUM anymore.
It IS on the CD, as an unsupported file, but the HFS+ version is
completely useless IMHO.
What are other people using for editing binary files? I'll even entertain
suggestions for Windows based solutions. :-)
