Hi everyone--
I am just getting into programming PalmOS applications. I am
using the handspring visor as my testbed currently. I am wondering what
the concensus is on:
1. Any gotchas there are for using the visor...like for instance,
I have yet to be able to get the online debugging to work from within
codewarrior (I am guessing that the visor cradle interface differs from
true PalmPilots?)
2. What the best IDE/Tools are? CodeWarrior seems nice, but
maybe a little overboard. GNUTools I have yet to fully figure out yet,
but I am used to Makefiles and such so thats no biggie since I am from a
linux background.
3. How do you get the blasted ROM off a visor? I have tried to
use the POSE tools, and even the modified one that comes with Handspring's
release of POSE. Yet everytime I tell the ROM Transfer to begin I either
get an error right away or it does a waiting...sending 0%...error #773
message after a few seconds.
4. I guess anything else that you guys would have liked to been
pointed to when you were all newbies at this.
