I ended up backing up my system, reformatting the hard disk, and
doing a clean OS 9 installation with the latest hard disk directory
format. The R6 IDE launches and exits cleanly. I'm just getting ready
to start development so I hope it stays that way.
Based on all my previous CW IDE experiences, the thought of merging
R5 and R6 is absolutely terrifying.
