Well, this is quite that kind of annoying but that bothers you a lot, really. What I am trying to do is a poweroff/sleep routine, thus, when the palm go to auto-ff or I power off while my app is running I need to perform some routines. I resolve this by putting an event Handler before all the clasic event handlers and there I check for the keydownevent with the hardPowerChr. Now, the problem is that when I press the powerbutton to turn on the backlight it does peroforms the same routines, and I need to turn on the backlight without that happening. What I have already tried is to check for that backligthChr but nothings happens. It seems the backlightChr is not generatted when I turn on the backlight. It just generate the keydownevent of the hardPowerChar and then the SystemEventHandler check if I want to turn off the device or toggle the backlight. What I need is a good way of distinguish between backligh action and poweroff or autooff operation. I need to turn on the backlight doing nothing and turn off the device with my closing routines.
