David Fedor's 3.5 overview session at PalmSource
(http://www.palm.com/devzone/palmsource/1999, Session 220) stated that 3.5
will be flashable like that.

I'm planning to flash 3.5 DR4 on my Palm IIIx later today.  I'll follow up
here if the device becomes dead.  :-)
