Profiling and Timers

Hello all.
Could anyone answer me these two simple questions:
1. In my POSE (I tried both 2... and 3.... versions) the Profiling options
seem to be always off. What could be the reason?
2. I've seen in the "Palm OS SDK reference" timer functions like
SysTimerCreate but it's a system use only function. I'd like to know if I
can create a timer.
