Hi all,

We've been working for the past several months on a server software
architecture to allow wireless device access into secure data stores,
corporate or otherwise. The admittedly ambitious main design goal is to
allow any type of device to access any back-end store, securely. Our focus
thus far has been on the Palm VII and WAP-enabled handsets on the
device-side, and on Microsoft Exchange, IMAP and POP stores on the back-end.
Our beta 2 release is available for download, and we'd love to hear other
developers impressions and suggestions.

Aside from our product plug ;-), we're hoping to provide an example of
what's possible on the VII using the InetLib for wireless data transfer.
The library comes up a lot on these forums, and it is still a little short
on documentation and samples. However, we've found it to be a solid
implementation and have ended up with a pretty full-featured PRC. We're
certainly interested in the potential for taking wireless VII apps beyond
the PQA model, and being able to port them (via NetLib) to the other Palm
wireless solutions.

If you are interested in checking out the beta 2 release, take a look at
www.thinairapps.com. If you're against registration pages, let me know and
we can set you up with the software directly. It is a client and server
solution, so you will need to be able to access the server installation
location from the Palm.Net proxy (a possible issue if you have a firewall).
Finally, there is also a white paper, which discusses our general
architecture, available on the site.

Thanks for humoring us, and for any feedback you might have. Feel free to
contact us directly or through [EMAIL PROTECTED]
