Appologies..... 3.0a3 for Windows.

Yup.... kinda know that.....:) Ive had a Pilot since the 1000 was released

>what specific problem are you running into

It just doesn't install on the visor..... I do it the usual way by using the
install tool, and it sits there in the directory waiting for the hotsync to
install... However once I've hotsynced, the icon does not appear in any of
the categories on the Visor. The install conduit is enabled.

Ah..... oh well.... not much point in percivering with it them....:)

For someone whose primary language is English, I don't seem to have made
particularly effective use of it... sorry....:)

A few comments:

(a) What do you mean by "latest" Poser? Your notion of "latest" might not
coincide with others'. You should probably include version numbers in your
reports.

(b) What do you mean by "it does not seem to want to install itself"?
Overlooking the fact that programs don't install themselves (they get
installed
by HotSync), what specific problem are you running into? I assume it's
something
other than a dialog saying "Hi, I don't want to install myself"? If you have
a
problem that you want other people to help you with, you need to provide as
much
information about that problem as possible.

(c) After you get ROM Transfer installed on a Visor, it won't work.
Handspring
altered the definitions of some information that ROM Transfer uses to find
the
location and size of the ROM such that ROM Transfer won't work. I've worked
around those changes, and the next release of Poser (which I'm hoping to
have
ready by the end of the month) will include a ROM Transfer that works on
Visors.

(d) Even if you were to get ROM Transfer installed and running on your Visor
and
were to download a ROM image, what were you planning on doing with it?
There's
no Visor listed in the device list.

I'm obviously doing something silly, but I'm trying to install the ROM copy
module from the latest POSE onto my visor, so I can pull down the ROM for
some testing. For some reason, it does not seem to want to install itself,
although other programs install fine.

Does anyone have any suggestions, or something they can point me at on the
web??
