I'd like to point out that adding the list name to the subject lines
tend to mess up threading in e-mail clients. You get something like:
[Palm Dev] Some subject
[Palm Dev] Re: [Palm Dev] Some Subject
[Palm Dev] Re: [Palm Dev] Re: [Palm Dev] Some Subject
Ad infinitum... The mail list server can often fix incoming subjects to
avoid this but there tend to be a lot of mails that slip through and end
up with mangeled subjects. I know this from experience with other lists...
In my opinion, tagging the subject lines like this looks ugly too.
I vote for adding a custom header, something like this:
X-Mailing-List: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
People who don't know how to setup their e-mail client to filter on
headers can be educated. People stuck with an inferior e-mail client
should complain to their sysadmin.
