Messages on Hotsync

hi,

    i dont know if this is really a question to be put in this list...

    i've made a conduit to the hotsync. are there ways to send messages to the user 
during the process? hotsync only lets me specify a string in the condcfg.exe program.

   oh, yes, i'm a java conduit programmer.
