We need to establish an IrComm connection, but have failed to do so. I
would check out sample code, but haven't been able to get my hands on any
sample programs.
Any pointers would be appreciated as to what other settings we will have to
modify. In case anyone has experience to diagnose this, I put the symptoms
below:
SYMPTOMS:
Our little test application (Three buttons (OPEN, CLOSE, SEND), and a
receive loop), works fine when using
e = SrmOpen(serPortCradlePort, 9600, &PortID);
(we just connect two cradles together and use two palms)
We then change just one line:
e = SrmOpen(serPortIrPort, 9600, &PortID);
and try placing the devices opposite each other. We get no errors, but the
receive loop never gets anything into the buffer.
After the test, the IR receive does not function properly, but IR send does.
(You can beam applications to clean devices, but the clean ones can not beam
to the test-devices).
