Think of it this way:

Use the variable types defined in the Palm SDK (and stick to the SDK API
calls) rather than the ANSI type and ideally you will be able to recompile
your code so your app can run on the Psion device using the Palm GUI or the
Ericsson phone with the EPOC kernel etc, if and when devices like that ever
appear.
