A simple workaround: I have found that even the average secretary can easily
swap serial cables if the back of the PC is exposed so it doesn't require
crawling around on the floor, etc. This way, HotSync doesn't need to be
reconfigured; the cable just has to be swapped. The only caveat is: be
careful of static electricity.
