If you are using the Symbol print libraries with the O'Neil microfash, you
don't need to redirect the IR port to the serial port, just have the
libraries directly write to the serial port. As for the crash after 8 time,
we haven't experienced it and have been using the Symbol print libs over and
over for several months. I would make sure you are not over-stuffing the
print buffer (or one of the pointers containing you print data). Even one
character more than allocated could have unpredictable results.
